Welcoming remarks will be delivered by Richard Glickman-Simon, MD, Associate Professor of Public Health and Community Medicine at Tufts School of Medicine. A panel discussion will be facilitated by Harvey Zarren, MD, President of the Board of Directors of the Integrative Medical Alliance. The following panelists will present brief descriptions of their work: • Julie Dunn (New England School of Acupuncture) - acupuncture/neutropenia study • Bei Chang (BU School of Public Health and Boston Veterans Administration) - use of acupuncture and the relaxation response in two studies • Ellen Highfield (Boston Medical Center) - patient satisfaction survey (acupuncture) at BMC • Robert Saper (BMC) - yoga study • Paula Gardiner (BMC) - use of massage with cancer patients
