Jacksonville, FL. – Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AOM) Day, celebrated
annually on October 24, was created to raise awareness of the benefits
of acupuncture — an effective form of medicine with a 3,000 year
history. This national day of observance, recognized by the leadership
organizations in the field of acupuncture and Oriental medicine, was
spearheaded by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and
Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in 2002.
